Requirements for Membership

The following are criteria for ELTA membership:

• Teachers and student-teachers of English from either private or public schools
• Must have a valid degree, or be working towards a degree in English
• Professionals in English educational fields (language inspectors, academic administrators, etc.)
• Full year of membership dues, regardless of time of entry
• Retired teachers or student-teachers must present written proof of their status

I'd like to apply, but it's mid-year.  How much do I pay?
As per your agreement on the application form, payment for one entire fiscal year, regardless of membership start,  is required.

How are the funds spent?
ELTA is a non-profit organization.  All collected funds, as well as contributions from partnerships, are used for financing conferences, trainings and material development. 

How can I make a financial contribution to ELTA?
ELTA greatly appreciates all financial contributions of any size.  The most convenient way is to transfer funds the same way membership fees are.  Please check the Application Forms section for more information.

Can I still participate in ELTA events without being a member?
Yes, of course!  Without individuals and resources outside the ELTA network, our projects would not be as successful.  Please check the Participation section for more information on how to be involved.
