Requirements for Membership
The following are criteria for ELTA membership:
- Teachers and student-teachers of English from either private or public schools
- Must have a valid degree, or be working towards a degree in English
- Professionals in English educational fields (language inspectors, academic administrators, etc.)
- Full year of membership dues, regardless of time of entry
- Retired teachers or student-teachers must present written proof of their status

I'd like to apply, but it's mid-year. How much do
I pay?
As per your agreement on the application form, payment for one entire fiscal
year, regardless of membership start, is required.
How are the funds spent?
ELTA is a non-profit organization. All collected funds, as well as
contributions from partnerships, are used for financing conferences, trainings
and material development.
How can I make a financial contribution to ELTA?
ELTA greatly appreciates all financial contributions of any size. The most
convenient way is to transfer funds the same way membership fees are.

Can I still participate in ELTA events without being a
member?
Yes, of course! Without individuals and resources outside the ELTA
network, our projects would not be as successful. Please check the
